The Sound of the Shofar! Prophetic Word for September 2023

The Jewish month of Elul begins a powerful prophetic season for God’s people. Occurring in late summer, usually August-September, this is a unique time calling us to awaken, reflect, and return to the loving arms of our Creator.

“Return to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” Joel 2:12

Elul is a gift inviting us to prepare our hearts and realign our lives to the Kingdom of God. God is sounding the shofar, whispering through the ages, “Awaken, ready your heart, your Bridegroom returns for you!”

In this prophetic late summer season, may we open our ears to hear the melodies of Heaven. As we engage in meaningful practices like personal reflection, repentance, reconciliation, and prayer – we realign with God’s purposes. Will you say yes?

The Sound of the Shofar – Wake Up and Return!

“Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.” Isaiah 58:1

Like a trumpet heralding changing seasons, the shofar signals it is time to awaken!

Awaken from financial slumber and use resources wisely for eternal rewards. Awaken a body and receive divine healing and wholeness: where there was sickness, rise up in renewed strength; what was drained and weary is infused with new vigour. Awaken relationships through reconciliation and forgiveness. Awaken spiritual gifts and use them boldly for God’s glory. Awaken identity in Christ, rejecting strongholds and lies. Awaken creativity to worship God in fresh new ways. Awaken calling, take risks to walk in God’s destiny.

The shofar’s blast urges our total awakening – spirit, soul, and body – our whole life! All that we are and have belongs to God. This season, may we fully awaken and return to our First Love.

People of God, heed the shofar’s persistent cry! Let its blast stir you to action. Prepare your heart, and realign your life to God’s Kingdom. Awake from every slumber and return to the arms of your waiting Bridegroom. The Daystar is arising! Hear the call, beloved bride – return wholeheartedly!

It’s Time to Take Spiritual Account

“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.” – Lamentations 3:40

The season has come to examine our inner lives and take spiritual account. God is calling us to look within, to the deepest places of our hearts. What needs work? What requires refinement?

🙏 Holy Spirit, as we reflect on the year gone by, we invite Your light to illuminate every hidden corner of our hearts. Reveal the areas in our lives that need repentance and restoration. Show us where our love has grown cold so it can be renewed by Your fire. Search our hearts deeply. Bring to light anything that separates us from intimate communion with God. Holy Spirit, we ask for fresh revelation and desire to walk in the fullness of all God has for us. Do Your work in our innermost being, so that we would live as ones awakened and transformed by Your power.

True revival begins from within. As we surrender and open ourselves fully to God’s presence, He makes us new. From the inside out, He brings radical change and revolution. What we position before Him, He transfuses with resurrection power.

Friends, the time for the deep inner shift is now. As you offer every part of your life to the Potter’s hands, He will reshape you into His image. The coming days are pivotal for internal renewal. Let this be a season of sacred transformation, beginning from the heart.

The King is in the Field – Draw Near

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16

The air is filled with anticipation, for word has spread that the King Himself is in the field today. He has come down from His lofty throne, set aside the trappings of royalty, to be among His people. What matchless compassion that He would meet us where we are, in the midst of our everyday lives!

The King’s presence is unmistakable, stirring the atmosphere with power and grace. “Come just as you are,” His gentle eyes assure us. “Hold nothing back from My transforming touch.”

Weary one, run to where He stands, releasing your heavy loads into His scarred but strong hands. And you will feel enveloped in His mercy and forgiveness, which flow freely here in the field. The King listens intently as you share your secret dreams and long-held desires of the heart.

No burden is too heavy, no sin beyond the reach of His grace. He reconciles, restores, and renews. With compassion, He dresses wounds and straightens crooked paths. Closely He cradles the broken. Not one in need escapes His notice.

Do not let this sacred moment pass you by! Draw near the King, granting audience to all. Listen—can you hear Him call your name? Run joyfully to the open arms of Jesus while He is yet in the field!

Plant Seeds through Prayer

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9

The atmosphere is ripe for planting. The spiritual soil lies prepared through seasons of difficulty and doubt. Take the seeds God has entrusted you – dreams, callings, promises – and sow them joyfully in faith.

My friend, you have waited long for this appointed time. Do not allow the trials you have endured to harden your heart or cloud your vision. The wilderness has refined and readied you for this new beginning.

Take the seeds of healing, and plant them by interceding for the broken. The seeds of love, scatter them by serving the lost. Speak words of life, nourish mercy and grace. Water each seed through heartfelt prayer.

Patiently and persistently nurture the seeds’ growth. Though you may not yet see sprouts bursting forth, have faith in what is unfolding beneath the surface. Your loving efforts will bear fruit in due season.

This spiritual soil is fertile and made soft through tears and trials. The conditions are right for seeds to grow and thrive. So plant bountifully! The harvest you reap will sustain generations after you. The fruit will be lasting, for seeds rooted in prayer cannot fail to bloom.

Powerful Reflection

The shofar has sounded, calling you to awake!

Receive all that the Lord has for you in this appointed time. Draw near Him with ears to hear His voice. Walk in the purposes He has set before you with boldness and faith.

May Elul be for you a spring of revival, a welcome time of awakening. Drink deep of God’s goodness and grace. Position your heart to accept and take hold of all He wants to do in and through you.

Go forward confidently into His plans and promises. You have been created and equipped for such a time as this.
