Statement of Faith

Haly Ministries is a non-denominational, evangelical, charismatic, healing ministry with a vision to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth as Jesus commanded us.  Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12 KJV). We believe that everything the Lord Jesus practiced in His life and ministry on this earth is available to His body now, including healing. Our commission from God is to heal the sick and train the body of Christ to do the same.

Haly Ministries is a teaching, edifying, encouraging and an equipping ministry. The importance of this ministry is to give a clear, biblical, practical approach to everything we do.

Here is a statement of our beliefs:

The Authority of the Bible

We believe the Bible is God-inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the world and practice for all Christians, and the Scriptures can be fulfilled and must not be broken. (1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 3:16)

God is One

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equally Divine and therefore equally Deity. (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6)

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15)

Man was Created by God

We believe man was created in the image of God and that his purpose was to have dominion over all the works of God’s hands. (Gen. 1:26). That man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” (Genesis 1:26-31: 3:1-7) But man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31: 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).

Salvation through Jesus Christ

We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. And having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Furthermore, we believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell. (Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10)

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in tongues to be normative for all believers. We also believe in the current practice of the spiritual gifts and the five-fold ministries. We believe that healing, deliverance, prophecy and other gifts and ministries are available to all Christians today and not limited to a historical period in the past or a select few individuals now.

Spirit Beings: satan, demons, and angels

We believe that there is a literal Devil (satan) and that he is the adversary of God and man and that there are spirit beings known as demons and angels. (1 Peter 5:8; Matt. 8:16; Mark 16:17; Heb. 1:7, 13-14)

The Church – Body of Christ

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church. (1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23)

The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment. God offers us life and the choice is ours to choose life or reject it. (1 Corinthians 15:51-57; Revelation 20:11-15; John 3:17; John 8:15; John 5:22; 12:47-48)

God’s Design for Our Sexuality

We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)

Healing in Atonement

We believe Divine Healing is the power of God to heal the sick (in mind or body), that healing for every person was included in Christ’s atoning sacrifice, and that it is God’s will for every Christian to minister healing to anyone at any time. (Psalm 103:2; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17)

Faith Toward God

We believe that we are to have faith towards God based upon the promises of God and that the fulfilment of those promises is based upon God’s faithfulness. We believe that we are to have faith in God and not in our faith. Our faith is that God will keep His Word. (Matthew 21:22; Mark 11:22-24; Luke 1:37; Proverbs 3:5-6)

Christian Mission

We believe that the Christian Mission is to: Love God in thought, word, and deed & to love your neighbour as yourself, which is practised by doing unto them as you would have done unto you. Your love for God and man will be demonstrated by reproducing disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, both domestically and in foreign lands by every Biblical method. (Matt. 7:11-29; Matt. 28:18-20)

We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism. (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)

We believe the Kingdom of God is what Jesus preached and demonstrated and that we are to continue His ministry in the same manner and with the same results.

We believe Mark 16:15-18 is a commission to all believers, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’

We also believe that we are to advance the Kingdom of God upon the earth until such time as Christ shall entreat us to enter into the joy of our Lord.
