Peace: Our True Strength | Haly Inspiration

Hey there! I want to share something important with you today. Life can be tough, and we often find ourselves searching for strength and guidance. But have you ever considered that our greatest strength actually lies in having peace? It’s true! There’s a verse in the book of Proverbs that beautifully captures this idea.

Trusting God Completely (Proverbs 3:5)

Have you ever felt overwhelmed or unsure about what to do? We’ve all been there! Today, my friend reached out to me, seeking advice during a difficult situation.

It’s tempting to jump in with my advice and guidance right away. But in reality, that might be the worst thing I can do. Now, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t in her shoes, so it wasn’t easy for me to suggest something. But deep down, I felt clear that God wanted her to do one thing: trust in His guidance.

Instead of rushing to offer solutions, I prayed and felt to share with her the verse from Proverbs 3:5, which says,

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”

I encouraged her to take a step back, get out of her home, and go for a walk to calm down. By doing so, she could create space to quiet her mind, let go of worry, and put her complete trust in God.

Acknowledging God in All Our Ways (Proverbs 3:6)

Now, let’s move on to the next verse. Proverbs 3:6 says,

“In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

By acknowledging God in all aspects of our lives, not just during the good times but also in the face of challenges, we open the door for His guidance and direction.

Even though I couldn’t fully understand my friend’s situation, I assured her that God knows every detail and cares deeply about her and her family. So, I encouraged her to invite Him into her decisions and actions. By doing so, she could have confidence that God would lead her on the right path.

The Power of Peace

You might be wondering how all of this connects to the idea of being calm. Well, when we trust God completely and acknowledge Him in everything we do, we can experience a sense of peace, even in the midst of life’s challenges.

Peace doesn’t mean we ignore our problems or pretend they don’t exist. Instead, it means we choose to believe that God is in control and that He will guide us through any situation.

In my friend’s case, I suggested that by taking a walk and allowing herself to calm down, she could quiet the noise in her mind and create a space for God’s peace to enter. This calmness would enable her to think more clearly, make better decisions, and rely on God’s strength rather than her own.

“Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.” – Max Lucado

The quote by Max Lucado reminds us that our faith should rest on God’s wisdom and goodness, not just our desires. It offers comfort and inspiration by encouraging us to trust in God’s perfect plans, even when they differ from our expectations. This mindset brings peace and allows us to find strength as we navigate life’s challenges with faith in God’s guidance.

So, my friend, remember that our true strength lies in being calm, trusting God with all our hearts, and acknowledging Him in everything we do. When we let go of our worries and anxieties and surrender them to God, He will guide us on the right path and provide us with the strength we need.

Now, I want to invite you to take a moment and reflect on your own experiences and challenges. Take a moment to think about how the idea of finding strength in peace can relate to your own life. How can you cultivate peace amidst life’s storms?
