Be Strong and Courageous: Trusting in God’s Promises | Haly Inspiration

Have you noticed how some people try to make us feel afraid about the future? They want us to worry about what might happen or might not happen. It’s as if they want to take away our courage and fill us with fear.

Recently, the world has been going through many challenging times, and it’s natural to feel shaken and fearful. In these confusing and uncertain times we live in, it’s easy to feel scared and worried. The news we hear and the things that might happen can make us lose our courage and hope. The uncertainty can make us doubt ourselves and the future. 

But here’s the remarkable truth: as followers of Christ, we have an incredible source of strength and reassurance. We don’t have to live in fear! In fact, the Bible tells us to be strong and courageous. So, how can we trust in God’s promises, just like He commanded in Deuteronomy 31:6?

The Promise of God’s Presence 

You know, sometimes life can be scary or uncertain. But here’s the great news: God is always with us! In Deuteronomy 31:6, God tells us, 

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” 

Isn’t that amazing?

And you know what? It’s okay to feel uncertain because it’s just a part of being human. But here’s the cool thing: even when we’re afraid, we can still have faith in God. Faith isn’t about never feeling scared; it’s about knowing that God is there with us, giving us strength and courage to face our fears. So, when we’re feeling worried or unsure, we can remember that we’re not alone. God is like our best friend who never leaves our side, no matter what happens. With God by our side, we can face anything that comes our way.

As one author once said, 

Faith is not the absence of fear. It is the presence of God.

Overcoming Fear with God’s Strength 

Sometimes fear can creep into our hearts, making us doubt ourselves or God’s plans for us. But we don’t have to stay stuck in that fear! Let me share with you a story from the Bible to encourage you.

Remember when Moses was about to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land? It was a daunting task, and Moses might have felt afraid or uncertain. But God reminded Moses, and He reminds us too, in Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

God’s words to Joshua remind us that we don’t have to rely on our own strength. God is our source of courage, and He promises to be with us wherever we go. So, when fear tries to hold us back, let’s remember that God has equipped us with His strength to overcome it!

Trusting God’s Good Plans 

Sometimes we worry about the future and what it holds for us. But let me tell you a secret: God’s plans for us are good! In Jeremiah 29:11, God says,

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Isn’t it comforting to know that God has a perfect plan for our lives? Even when things seem uncertain, we can trust that God is working everything together for our good.

In the Bible, God promises that His plans for us are full of goodness and hope. It means that no matter what twists and turns life may bring, we can have confidence that God’s got it all under control. So instead of being afraid of the unknown, let’s hold onto hope and trust that God’s perfect plan is unfolding right before our eyes.

My friend, you have a choice. You can either give in to fear and worry, or you can trust in God’s promises and be strong and courageous. The Bible assures you that God is with you, gives you His strength, and has good plans for your life.

So, instead of allowing fear to hold you back, make a bold decision to trust in God. When you do, you can be confident that He will lead you through any challenge or situation that comes your way.

BE STRONG, BE COURAGEOUS, and remember, you are never alone. Trust in God’s promises and watch as He leads you through every situation that comes your way. Your future is bright because He is with you, guiding you every step of the way.
