Over these few years, you have been trying to operate in another person’s job, calling or ministry. In spite of this, you did very well. Time is not wasted. You have learned many new things, your character has been reshaped. But inside, deep inside there is a cry: ‘I am trying to fit in. I am trying to be happy and joyful. I am trying to… but I am unhappy.’
The time of ‘trying to’ is over. You are going to jump into a ‘new’ very soon. In the next season, God is going to bless you with what you love doing. It will match your personality, and you will feel so comfortable being in your new calling.
Take this new life as a child, be childlike. Cambridge Dictionary describes ‘Childlike’ as ‘showing the good qualities that children have, such as trusting people, being honest and enthusiastic.’
Jesus Himself told us to be like a child: For an answer Jesus called over a child, whom he stood in the middle of the room, and said, “I’m telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you’re not even going to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in. Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God’s kingdom. (The Message) Matthew 18:2-4
You will rank high in God’s Kingdom. ‘Trusting in God’, and ‘Trusting People’ will grow so much over these few months. You are entering into the new, and as a child, you will be so excited. Also over these few months, especially in a year, you will become even more mature, walking in wisdom.
There are two things here:
1. being like a child
2. walking in wisdom and being mature
It will require you to walk against the flow, not against God’s flow because you will be in tune with Him. You will walk against the crowd flow. In the beginning, people will not recognise your uniqueness. Some of them would see too much child in you, but later you are going to be recognised as a mature man/woman of God, full of God’s wisdom. It will take time, but it will be shorter than you think.
In the near future, you will turn the hearts. People will start following you. Many people are going to follow you, they will not only follow you, but you will be loved. Why? Because they will see God’s love in you and your honesty. They will love your personality, love your uniqueness, love your childlikeness, love your maturity.
Also, because of those two factors maturity and childlikeness you will be able to communicate on all different levels.
What shall you do during those ‘lonely moments’?
Do not listen to an opposition which starts in your mind first, and stop trying to fit in. It always starts in your mind.
You cannot please all people. Be YOU! When people do not understand you, continue being YOU! Start learning to enjoy your time being alone, by yourself, with no one around. Learn about yourself and how God sees you. In Proverbs 4:23 it says: “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” (NLT). Stop judging yourself, trying to impress others. Learn to like yourself.
You will Rank High
You are marvellously made. You are unique. You are valued. You have a great personality no one else has.
Walk in your destiny! Walk in your calling! Walk with YOUR crowd!
And believe that You Will Rank High!
