18 Days of Fasting (Day 4) – God Gives Knowledge and Understanding

On the 4th day of 18 Days of Fasting, we are focusing on the 4th prayer from The Amidah – God is the Giver of Knowledge and Understanding .

“You favor men with knowledge, and teach mortals understanding.

O favor us with the knowledge,

the understanding and the insight that come from you.

Blessed are you, O Lord, the gracious giver of knowledge.”

God is the Giver of Understanding – My Story

I had so many testimonies of how the Lord gave me an understanding or knowledge of something.

I was working in the office with no IT degree or experience. I am not talking about office experience, but real issues with programs, networks, or computers. When the company I worked for had IT issue, I prayed, asking the Lord to help me to fix it and after a few clicks, the problem was fixed.

I will give you one example. One of the systems the company worked with was flawless until one day emails stopped to go through to our customers. Emails were very crucial to our business. Immediately, we contacted people who created the program. They tried to resolve the issue but with no results. People who knew the system could not fix the system! They were professionals with degrees.

After those long talks with no results, I came to the Lord and asked Him to show what the issue was and help me to resolve it. In a few clicks, everything was fixed. The professionals failed, but the one who did have God’s Spirit inside didn’t.

That’s just one example. I have so many stories to tell. The only thing I regret is that I did not record the stories. I should make videos of how I did it.

Prayer in Tongues Reveals the Deep Things of God

As a human being without God, we can only rely on what we have learnt through life, school, University, job. But there is the One Who knows it all and He has the most reliable, latest information. “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding”. – Proverbs 2:6

If you need understanding or knowledge of something, I encourage you to pray and ask God to reveal it to you. From my personal experience when I prayed in tongues I received that information. Prayer in tongues is the most powerful prayer and we should not neglect it.

This year Haly Ministries took the challenge to increase praying in tongues from one hour to one hour and 20 minutes.

To see the Kingdom manifest here on this earth, to be effective, and understand deep things of God we need to do that. I don’t want to see my life with little results. I want big results and to get great results, be it in ministry, job, studies or personal life, I need to pray more in tongues. I do not do that as the law. I pray in tongues because I do not want to neglect what the Lord has given us freely, and prayer in tongues is one of them. Praying in tongues is so vital. There are so many benefits if we pray in tongues. It builds us up, releases God’s life into your situation, brings Divine healing, gives us a revelation, overcomes fears, refreshes our soul, etc. There is no end to the benefits.

Paul is a Great Example

I believe because Paul prayed in tongues a lot, he was able to write so many books. In 1 Corinthians 14:18, he wrote, “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.” In 1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul wrote, “For I worked harder than any of the other apostles.” Building ourselves in spirit will make us more efficient, more proficient, more effective.

Do you wait for that life and power to be dropped on you from Heaven? You will wait forever. The Lord has already supplied all your needs. You do not need to wait for the power to be dropped on you because God has put Himself in you. The power of God lives inside of you. And when there is a need, you release Him. Do not wait or hope He comes down.

I love Smith Wigglesworth‘s saying, who was called the “apostle of faith”, “If the Spirit doesn’t move me, I’ll move Him.” He prayed in tongues a lot. All his books include the interpretation of tongues. He knew how to move the Spirit. Look at the results! There were so many healings, miracles, raising of the dead.

Release Living Waters

The same power is in you. What you need is to draw that power out of you. How? “Out of you” means “out of your lips”. You can do that by praying in tongues and you can do it by boldly saying God’s word to your situation in your language.

I encourage you and myself, to pray in tongues every day, to speak the word of God to the mountain – your difficult situation. Let us not neglect the gift of God. The Lord gave us tongues for a purpose.

It is up to me and it is up to you. Are you going to take this challenge?

This Jewish 5780 year is all about the mouth. What is coming out of your mouth? Faith or unbelief? Fear or confidence? If you are happy with your life, then continue living like the old days.

But this letter is to those who want more, who do not want to live in the old system, with old wine skins. We need to be revived, and that will come with praying in tongues.

This fasting is to understand LIFE and the fullness of it! This life comes from the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead. Just imagine the same resurrection power lives in you! And just as He raised Christ from the dead, He has also breathed His LIFE into you! That POWER is in YOU! His LIFE is in YOU!
